Throughout his life in Nashville, Robert Moses was a wonderful friend and contributor to W.O. Smith Music School. Being an accomplished pianist, Robert was involved in Nashville’s music scene, having been a regular performer of O’Charley’s restaurants in his youth and eventually becoming president of a sound studio, Sound Media. Robert was very successful in business; he was the co-founder of Best Brands and involved on numerous boards across the Nashville business and collegiate communities. The Best Brands presidency has since been passed onto his son, Ryan Moses, who has shared his love for music and devotion to giving back to the community. Since its inception, Best Brands has been the largest contributor to our yearly Fire Ball, W.O. Smith’s biggest annual fundraiser that occurs on New Year’s Eve. We have named our recording studio the Robert Moses Recording Studio in honor of his generous donations over his lifetime. As his son, Ryan, lovingly puts, “The Robert Moses Recording Studio is an opportunity to help students in need and create a lasting legacy in honor of my dad, who was a talented musician and life-long community volunteer.”
